"MISS KELLY IS THE BEST!!! My husband and I have been trying to resolve a problem with SS for months. Everyone I had spoken too gave me wrong info or could not help me at all. After being frustrated, hours on hold ( I mean like holding over 4 hours) and calling Mineola and Freeport and being hung up on. I finally decided to call SS Babylon office. Miss Kelly answered the phone. She was so professional, kind, patient and listened intently to what was going on. Miss Kelly knew I was at the end of my rope. I had asked if I needed to come to the office and she told me before I made the trip, she was going to try and solve the problem. I gave her most of the info she needed. I called back with more info later that day and she immediately went on her computer to help me. She stayed at the office helping me till after 4pm even though the office closes at 4. At 4 I asked if she wanted to leave and I would call her back in the morning and she said “no it’s okay, I love my job and helping people”. She called me the next day to tell me, everything was corrected. She said a retro check was being sent and should be in my acct within 3 days. Miss Kelly went above and beyond for me. She is the only one I had dealt with at SS who knew what she was doing. She was so professional, kind and reassuring. The the other SS offices need to take lessons from Miss Kelly on how people should be treated. I don’t know what we would have done without her. She is a great person. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!, MISS KELLY!!! You are a true asset to your office! This world needs more Miss Kelly’s."
"went in for a quick name change for my adopted daughter, they messed up all the paperwork and made me go back twice. Im not one of these crack heads that makes it a job getting paid off social security. I work. You messed up you fix it. The woman at the counter to the right is a moron. now I'm on the phone with their complaint dept, they could care less. Been on hold for 25 minutes. our government cares more about the illegal immigrants then the tax payers."
"Where do I begin when I say this is the most unprofessional, uneducated and incompetent office I have ever dealt with! In particular I have been dealing with Ms. Kelly, the most nastiest, rude, unprofessional person in this office! Her supervisor should know how she talks to the public who come there for assistance. I actually feel bad for anybody who has dealt with her in the past or had to in the future. I would urge you to ask to speak with someone rather than her! She is NOT qualified to be in a customer service position! She flat out told my husband “if he couldn’t understand then he shouldn’t be the beneficiary and that it didn’t matter anyway since his daughter would be 18 soon.” She also refuses to speak to me since she knows she can’t push me around. I’m very well educated and she hates that I call her out on their errors and omissions. Their office made a very large monetary mistake and we are not able to get answers that should be very simple! How dare she speak so condescendingly to anyone! My next step is to file a formal complaint with their office. If I could give ZERO stars I would!"
"Very impressed with the service. Quick & easy sign in terminal when you arrive, the guard on duty was very helpful. Arrived around 10:30am on a Monday morning, it was very quiet, only a handful of people waiting. It took less than 10 minutes to be called to the window, and away 5 minutes or so after. Obviously it depends on what you are seeing them for, mine was a quick query. The inside of the waiting area seems to be larger than I remember. Clean environment. The staff were very helpful, and efficient. The whole experience was excellent. Thank you."
