"We don't live in town so we are not welcome (to become parishioners, or baptize our daughter). I just read another review where someone had two of their children baptized there, went through RCIA (converted to catholicism) moved out of town, and were not welcomed back for their own baptism. That is so wrong! This exact egoic sentiment is what has driven so many people away from the Catholic church. Extremely disappointing and hurtful."
"I am extremely upset over the way I was spoken to and handled following many attempts for information on Our Lady of the Snow's RCIA program. I just got off the phone with them and I will type this as I sit here crying. I have been calling and leaving messages for months to sign up for their RCIA program, not once has anyone returned my calls. Today I finally got through and was told that they would not baptize me because I do not live in their town and they need to set "boundaries". I expressed how important it would be to me to get baptized in the same church my son did in 2019 and my daughter in 2021. We attended this church many times in 2019 and felt this was our new home once we moved to Suffolk County. It really breaks my heart that a church would push away someone looking to join the catholic faith due to my address. This is such a shame and something I shouldn't be crying over. If I knew going into this that they would only baptize my children, and not me, I would have tried to find a more welcoming parish."
"What a great crew of volunteers! Led by Diana the are selfless and helpful, making difficult times more Bearable."
"I go to the pantry there. All the lady's there are so nice they helped me out a lot. I'm so grateful for them. Thank you so much. May God bless you all."
"How special is it to have such wonderful churches all over the Island. Quiet sanctuaries to pray and meditate in. A little piece of heaven on earth in the true presence of our sacramental Saviours presence!!!!!!"
