About the Business
Welcome to the Terryville Fire Dept. Station #2, a proud and dedicated volunteer fire department serving the communities of Port Jefferson Station and Terryville since 1950. Located at 632 Old Town Road, Port Jefferson Station, New York, our department has been a cornerstone of safety and community service for over seven decades.
Founded with the leadership of Harold Hoxie as our first Chief, we answered our inaugural call to a brush fire in August 1950. Since then, we have remained committed to our mission of saving lives, suppressing fires, and providing essential services such as EMS, rescue, fire prevention, and education.
Our team is comprised of approximately 90 active members, including firefighters, fire police, and EMS personnel, who operate out of three stations. We take pride in being a volunteer organization, offering free training that has launched many successful careers in firefighting and emergency services.
If you're interested in pursuing a career in firefighting or emergency services, volunteering with the Terryville Fire Department is an excellent place to start. Our members are passionate about their roles and are always eager to welcome new volunteers into our family.
