St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church

Welcome to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, a historic place of worship located at 41-47 Wisteria Street, Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Established in 1917, St. Demetrios holds the distinction of being one of the first Greek Orthodox churches in central New Jersey. Our vibrant community is dedicated to preserving the rich traditions and spiritual heritage of the Greek Orthodox faith.

Join us for our Annual Summer Greek Festival by the Bay, happening from Friday, May 31 to Sunday, June 2, 2024. Experience a weekend filled with delicious Greek cuisine, lively music, and traditional dancing. It's a celebration you won't want to miss!

Our church is also proud to participate in the NYC Greek Independence Day Parade, showcasing our cultural pride and unity. We invite you to be part of our community events and worship services. Sunday services begin with Orthros at 9:00 AM, followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 AM. Weekday hours are from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
