"Abe Stark is my absolute favorite rink. Prices are very cheap! I would recommend asking for the bright blue buckle up skates instead of the regular figure skates because they slide better on the ice. Skating aids aren’t needed very much after you watch a few YouTube videos or 2! My 6 year old grandson learned to skate in just 2 days of coming here! After the 2023 Winter Recess free skating events, I decided to take my granddaughter for lessons! $50 for 1 30 minute sessions wasn’t really nice to my bank account, but she learned a lot from it! 100% would recommend this rink!"
"Old, outdated facility. Blonde lady manager standing at entrance is rude and obnoxious, doesn't care about customer experience or about customer altogether. Rink gets overcrowded and they still allow more and more people to enter. Understand this is a business but someone needs to pay attention about safety of customers. You have teenagers who are obviously really good and experienced scaters flying around the rink barely avoiding other, less experienced scaters. This is a disaster waiting to happen when someone hits someone really hard. Rink staff is not doing anything about this, and it's really dangerous for people's safety."
"Overall it's an ok place to skate. The price is reasonable, it's easy to get to either by public transportation or by car. The rink is big, it's not too crowded. On the negative side - the rental skates are very dull, it looks like don't sharpen them frequently or at all, so it's really not easy to skate in them. We were there later in the day and ice was in a very bad shape, looks like there is no ice maintenance during the day, but I might be wrong. We will try earlier time next time."
"I never give reviews but this time I have to. If you are beginner ice skater like me, don’t waist your time going there. First of all everyone has to pay to get in even if you are not skating. We came in, paid for all, asked for the skaters aid, because for 2 of my family members it was the first time. They didn’t have any skaters aid so within 5 min, without stepping on ice we left. When I asked the manager for the refund, she was rude was not willing to understand the situation, not willing to accommodate the bigger skaters, not willing to give refund. She was just pointing on the NO REFUND sign.So instead of having pleasant time with family we gave away $73 for 5 min without even stepping 1 foot on ice. If I could give 0 stars I would. Don’t waste your time there, if you just beginning to skate nobody will help you there. They will just take your money."
"Ok skating rink. Old, outdated. Pros: Proximity, $11 entrance price. Biggest Con: They do NOT clean the ice in the middle of Public Skating session. It leads to Unsafe, and Dangerous Skating Conditions. Management should Correct this Unsafe Situation!"
