Reviews of Denyse Wharf
"Denyse Wharf is a hidden historical treasure tucked away in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. It’s a place where the echoes of the past meet the waves of the present, standing as a remnant of the Revolutionary War. Once an important pier and a ferry site, it was here that British troops landed for the Battle of Brooklyn in 1776. Though now a shadow of its former self, the crumbling jetty and outcropping of stones jutting into the Narrows still hold the stories of patriots and loyalists, of invasions and battles. Denyse Wharf may not be the most picturesque spot, but it’s a poignant link to New York’s colonial history and a testament to the enduring spirit of the city."
"The views of the Bridge and the Narrows are breathtaking, however, the Landmark is owned by the government. They need to clean the area more regularly. They also should post a sign by the wharf stating it is Denyse Wharf and it is a Revolutionary War Historical Site. As a local, I think its aweful locals just bike by it or walk by it without being aware this is a very significant part of Revolutionary History. ---a Bay Ridge Resident"
"It's fenced off. I liked the tire though."
