Reviews
"Adequate park with a newly renovated playground. The playground is great, with lots to do and fun things for the kids. I love the exercise area. You can get a full workout with the equipment that's available. I do wish there was more green space though."
"This is one of the most beautiful parks in NYC. The city made an outstanding job fixing this park. But to be honest I missed the old playground. I grew up on Fort Hamilton PKWY, I went to schools there, I used to hangout there with my friends all the times, alot of memories are made there. Now it the time for my kids to enjoy their time on brand new playground, and we won't waste any time."
"Updated review - the playground has been thoughtfully renovated, and they kept the whale! My kids love it."
"This place was great before. There was a big open space for kids to ride bikes and play soccer. And just run around. But they recently built 4 volleyball courts in that area and now theirs just a bunch of old men gathering there and taking over the park. Not a lot of space to just run and play soccer. I would’ve loved if they made a soccer field in that area. The park downgraded a lot. Also needs to be renovated the playground is very old. (FYI this is not only my opinion many kids would come to the open space to play soccer with the fence and now it’s taken up by volleyball) Edit: Most of the park is under construction and the volleyball courts got taken down."
"Finally wait is over after more than two decades, tennis courts under the Verrazano bridge has been fully renovated. I thought, I would not see this day but it has happened. All courts are brand new and I hope these courts will be well administered by parks department so that courts are used for tennis only rather than dog park. I won't be surprise in summer that these courts will be flooded by local tennis coaches, who wants to make few bucks by provide coaching illegally rather than getting permit from Parks department."
