"I once received an undelivered package and processed my child's passport here. The staff were professional and responsible. Although my English is not very fluent, they were very patient. I am very grateful to the staff here."
"Update: My husband asked USPS employees near his place of employment (in Manhattan), and they have told him that writing "do not bend" does *not* automatically make it a parcel, that a stiffener *is* allowed as long as the envelope still bends, that the "policy" hasn't changed since 2007 (WHICH IS THE ONE WE ARE FOLLOWING), and they were also baffled that "only letters" are allowed in regular mail, citing "then how do people send out gift cards?". So, the employees at this brookyn PO either are deliberately misinforming customers, or need to be re-trained on their own policies. --- If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I hate this post office, and I almost never leave there without being angry. This situation was the straw that broke the camel's back. I got an envelope RTS'd due to postage, and apparently, it was because it was supposed to be a parcel. It is a few cards with a stiffener piece, which under the USPS policy on their website is allowed. I've sent out over 500 orders this way and never had it been RTS'd for this reason. These envelopes are machinable, they flex, and I have the correct postage because I always weigh before sending them out. I am following the policies given by USPS. But I am being told by employees that "writing do not bend automatically makes it a parcel." No, it does not. Nowhere on the policy page does it say that. I am being told, "I've been doing it the wrong way, and I've just now been caught." The insinuation that I've been doing something illegal is not appreciated, and it also makes USPS look incompetent because hundreds of thousands of card orders are sent the same exact way throughout the country. I am being told, "Policies change." Okay, but when I ask to see the updated policy, or ask when the policy changed because it's not updated on the website (a website that is actually pretty good about updating its policies I might add), all I'm told is "I don't know, but policies change". I am being told, "Those are cards, not letters. That's a parcel." Birthday cards and holiday cards are made from the same thickness cardstock but are sent out with stamps as regular mail. Gift cards are straight up plastic. Should they not be parcels then, because they are not "regular paper"? Several of the employees are very rude as well and will speak to you like you're a child. "It's. A. Parcel.""
"If only I could give 0 stars I would. AVOID THIS LOCATION!!!! Extremely long wait time, only 1 person working here and can’t even finish with 1 customer for an hour! Rude Jewish customers, no management! He told me to shut up when I wondered if there anyone else could come and take customers from the line. I left this place. Nobody deserves that kind of “treatment”."
"I went to this post office for passport application at 10:30 AM and waited until 12:00 PM. The lady who was taking passport applications declared that she won’t be taking any passport applications anymore. She said she had 12 tickets that she had to process today. I asked her if she handed over any ticket, which she said she did. That was a lie. If she wasn’t going to take applications after 12 PM regardless of what time I came in, why didn’t she announce that earlier and wasted my time? This kind of unprofessional employees are shame for the USPS. Whoever supervise this post office should be held accountable for this type of unprofessional actions by their employees."
"The worst, the old guy decided he wanted to close the post office at 1:20 when it closes at 3 and wouldn’t let anyone in. He made everyone inside wait till he felt like opening the door so we can leave. So rude and unprofessional"
