"If you want to go to hell this Church will help you. Nothing but blasphemy. Twisting Scripture to justify sin..."
"The most welcoming, non-judgemental, diverse church community I've ever found. Inside a historic structure surrounded with stunning Tiffany windows and a 1970s mural celebrating the community, this stop on the underground railroad has nevet forgotten it's abolitionist roots, providing an old-school Presbyterian service with a modern, progressive outlook, filled with Music and a ministry of "radical" love."
"Visiting this church was a delightful visit down memory lane with my dad who had worked there as an intern for Reverend Knight 60 years ago. Thank you to Amir (sp?) for taking time to fill in some of the recent history of the church and assisting us with bringing my dad to visit and share in both “The Witnesses” (large scale paintings on the second floor) and the Tiffany window, equally glorious in their own right. If you have not taken time to see these paintings on the upper level in between the stain glass windows please treat yourself and be in good company with those who are the community of LAPC."
"It is a wonderful and diverse group of people who attend LAPC. All are welcome, be you Christian or not. Reverend Telfort is an amazing orator, the likes of MLK Jr. He is young & brings much needed perspective to the Bible and gospels. My family has been attending services here since the 1980’s. The church has always focused on inclusion and justice. It was at one point part of the Underground Railroad. That spirit is still present within the walls. The church features talented musicians that bring such life to the services. There is also a huge presence of children and families. LAPC is a warm, inviting, safe place. A true sanctuary from this hard world."
"Great place to worship, awesome parishioners. Remember to stop by for some coffee, juice, and a little snack before you go (after the service). Great way to meet the pastor and the church folk in an informal and relaxed setting. Also check out what's going on at the church on the bulletin boards."
