"I resisted for so long, but I must provide my thoughts. While the choir is beautiful, across the 15+ masses I have attended since moving here, I have not recognized a single song. Mind you, that's with 15 years of Catholic school education and 27 years of attending weekly mass. What is the point of a "community mass" if the "community" cannot participate? Do not get me started on the homilies - fortunately even I understand that's too far. Anywho, it's a major bummer because this is the only Catholic Church in the area."
"Beautiful church and people. Great place to receive our Lord Jesus Christ"
"Interesting history about this place according to our guide, apparently once part of the underground railroad. Nice surrounding area with Federal era houses, all rather expensive drums now I understand along Orange and Cranberry Streets."
"In need of some Roman Catholic food for the soul? Assumption, and it's sister church, St. Bonafice, on Duffield in downtown Brooklyn, is the place to be. Fantastic family program on Sundays with formation downstairs for the kiddos. Oratorians know how to deliver a mass for all ages. Parking is a bit of a challenge but a little prayer always does it. Great community feel and a welcoming place to be regardless of where you are in your spiritual journey."
"Location great for after going to the Brooklyn bridge. Beautiful church with lovely picture of the assumption."
