"Update my son and his friend were bitten by a dog while practicing on the baseball feild 2 weeks ago. Luckily nothing too serious but again this is NOT a dog park and some dog owners are completely carelsss and keep thier dogs off leash while sports are being played on the field. I’ve lived in this area for over 25 years and This is a great park with a baseball feild for local kids to practice and train but the amount of people who bring thier dogs off leash and act as if this is a dog park is insane. This is NOT a dog park (as the entrance sign says no dogs allowed), I have filed many complaints because as my son is in baseball practice dogs are running rampant around. Over Several occasions I’ve seen others practices such as football, baseball etc and the dogs are running all throughout the feild, the owners have no respect and don’t care. A dog can get injured because they’re off leash at a park that’s meant for sports. owners act as if they don’t care. There’s a dog park a few blocks away at Maria Hernandez park this is where owners should be going with thier dogs not a sports field."
"Nice park to bring the kids especially that it's right next to the school my child attends."
"I'm pretty neutral to this park. I absolutely love that it's been empty in the morning. However, I don't really go in if I see someone sleeping on the bench, or if I see someone that looks dazed out on the bench. I will say sometimes when I walk with little one around 7am, that's when I see them, but around 8:30am and later they're pretty much gone. I haven't seen the sprinklers on in the morning either, probably because there's barely traffic in the mornings? Also I have to hover over my child because God forbid she finds a needle, but other than that I love that it's quiet and empty."
"This is a beautiful, clean park with access to restrooms. In the summer there is a sprinkler system. There's not much traffic in the early afternoon, but many people bring their dogs there for exercise. The only element that was missing from the park was the absence of swings."
"This is a great place for people to come play baseball or soccer. But it’s also an unofficial dog park where many of the neighborhood people bring their dogs. They do their best to respect the people doing sports, and it is a great experience for the dogs."
