Reviews
"Great medium size park . The historical significance of Collect Pond in the early formation of New York. Seating and a little water to stare at or just relaxing. (Bowery Boys history ) … The trees also good condition and wonderful."
"Cute from the outside, significant history, but really, not a nice park. It’s rather dirty, and not suitable to relax."
"A place that can serve as a time machine for those New Yorkers, visitors and tourists alike---if they will but give it a moment. Few places will have undergone such a transformation over the centuries. Look at the accompanying illustration of the Collect Pond from 1788, with its adjacent hill. Looks more like a fairly large lake, no? The illustration is a mural from inside a nearby building that itself was painted from a painting. Read the interpretive signs and, when time allows seek out the other nearby representations such as the bronze insets in other nearby locations of what the pond and its environs looked like as well as the African Burial Ground."
"Beautiful park nearby Canal Street. Has a lot of seating and trees. Super scenic and relaxing. Great place to chill out on a lunch break."
"Its a good place where you can spend the day, have a snack, or meet a friend. I like the beautiful buildings around it and green spaces. Definatly a good place for couples if they want to spend a romantic day in a beautiful place around new york."
