Reviews
"Walking into the space at 3pm, the sunlight hits just right and the predominantly warm palette from the 40 or so paintings floods retinas with heat, triggering joy on a cool, late-fall day. I turn to one of my students, wearing a pair of 3M earmuffs, and she says, “This is my dream. I am so happy right now. We have nothing like this in Ecuador.” I ask her what she likes about the exhibition. “The color.” Bortolami presents ‘Good Luck Spot’—a euphoric installation of paintings by Cecily Brown & Jutta Koether."
"When I want to go for a gallery tour in Tribeca, Bortolami is definitely on the list!"
"Beautiful contemporary gallery with the nicest staff and amazing contemporary artists."
"Beautiful contemporary art gallery in SoHo, representing a wide variety of artists, and all are challenging, creating, and analyzing contemporary culture. The gallery itself is architecturally interesting as one enters a lengthy hallway with access to offices, a smaller gallery space, and then opening up into a large gallery at the rear of the building."
"A must go to if you are looking at galleries . Every time I stay in New York I make it a note to swing by . The last show I saw was an incredible collection of oil paintings by Marina Rheingantz."
