"Interesting gallery if you like this sort of thing. Owner is a slick salesman and schmooze artist who's very adept at pretending to be your friend. Go and look at the stimulating artwork by all means. But if you think you might want to buy, make sure it's something you want to live with. The resale market for this stuff is iffy, even for the well known artists, and not necessarily what Edlin will lead you to believe. I learned this the hard way. And my overall experience with him, which includes knowing him personally for over 20 years and buying multiple pieces totaling over $50k, left me with a bad taste in my mouth."
"We got to see a retrospective site of Tom Duncan's work. It was well laid out and great to see Tom's mix of sculptures and drawings!"
"I love this gallery. Fabulous work. I saw one of my favorite shows here last year. Loved the work at Frieze. Andrew is down to earth. Easy to talk to. Honest and committed to art and artists. The cost of running a gallery is so intense. I wish more people understood that its really a labor of love more than anything to show the type of work Andrew is showing."
"Hello world! was looking at maps to check up on correct address for my most favored NY based ( even on top of the least and ahead of Sperone West-wood!) privately heldFine art gallery and what I saw in the comments section , it simply steered the sense of basic justice in me) Fine art business is among the hardest to those even born in to trade! The galleries and owners at Andrew Eldin are among most art and artists sensitive, Kind and insightful! The choice of artists is exceptional and also they contribute a big deal to promote less fortunate and overlooked artists among the talents.Since the first visit I would skip no show or event in case it held at Eldin,, and yes I reside few blocks away from the best art galleries in Manhattan but most of the time I won't find time to go to see new shows, except for this fine art gallery Eldin! .Please be responsible for public reviews you leave, !!! They treat collectors and artists and visitors with the most understanding, and support! Thank you!"
"Purchased major work and paid for framed price, work came unframed and gallery would not make up the difference or provide frame. Out several hundred dollars as a result. They did, to be fair, offer $200, but the difference was several hundred dollars. When I argued, they refused to send the $200. Shipping was slow, had to ask again and again, and they could not locate paperwork when I went to pay. They were enormously patient with me, however, allowing me to pay for piece over extended period of time, with a nice discount. Edlin is a major art dealer, but he did refuse to refund me money that he 1) promised he would; and 2) was a breach of the agreement. They also have hidden fees, big up charge for paying with credit and wanted me to pay shipping. Major gallery, but a tad shady and they go back on their word. Unethical at the core, and so it makes you question authenticity, etc., those kinds of issues."
