"I had to read the entire marker before I realized that the Nobel laureate and prolific novelist and short story writer Sinclair Lewis resided here but a brief three years of his life (I was thrown initially by the dates of his life at the top, thinking he had resided here all those years). As a history buff an journalist I do enjoy seeing these historic preservation signs around the city. Otherwise you would likely pass an never know that anyone of note had once lived there."
