"I have consistently had bad experiences at this location. The staff are super unfriendly and unhelpful. I’d rather walk the extra distance from my apt to the Varick location to avoid this one. However, this morning I went quickly to mail something using the self service machine and they weren’t open 30 mins after they were supposed to be."

"This is a great location. Employees are efficient, helpful, and courteous. (And in the case of the employee who wears berets, fashionable.) The lines never get too long, and it's always easy to pick up any packages I receive here. It's the ideal post office."

"I typically go to a different USPS but came here to run an errand. I waited in line for 10 minutes, and only needed the clerk to scan a pre paid QR code for me to print my shipping label. My box was packed and ready to go. I did not know that it is possible to self service this task now at this USPS, so I waited in line. When I arrived at the front of the line, I was told to “go over there and scan the QR code yourself, and come back with any problems”. I objected because it takes literally 2 seconds for the clerk to scan the code and print for me. She actually scanned and printed for another customer in front of me just minutes ago. I ended up going to the self service machine, waited another 5 minutes, and spent another 2 minutes to move through the DIY prompts. I would have been happier with my experience if the clerk 1) printed my label for me, and 2) informed me it’s possible to DIY the NEXT time I came to this location. I could have completed my task in 10 minutes but ended up spending more time than any other customer at this store. Everyone had left the store by the time the self service machine was finished. I don’t understand why the clerk felt it’s more efficient to direct me to a different line when I was already at the front of the line after having waited already."

"Actually one the worst postal experiences I have ever had. Online it said not to tape the package shut and when I got there they made me buy tape. (Whatever I know this happens). But it was how I was treated in this circumstance. This woman with a blue barrette spoke to me so rudely. She should be fired. She was like “are you having a meltdown do you need a latte”. She was working at noon on a Saturday, please flag her she should not be able to speak customers that way. I literally never ever write reviews but this was one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had."

"I went to the post office at West Village NYC location yesterday Saturday at about 3pm. There was nobody there just two workers a man and a woman check your camera. I wanted to send a parcel to Ireland. I asked the lady what document I needed to fill in for customs. She would not even look at me to let me know where to find it. She just said it’s over there. I was very nice and polite to her. When I filled in the form and went back up I was told that I filled in the wrong document. Anyway another customer came in and the same woman was totally rude to him putting in a rage were he ripped up his paper work and threw it at her and walked out. The postal worker mentioned God to him as though she was all mighty. Anyway this lady is not fit to deal with the public and should be removed. I’ll never use the post office again I’d rather pay extra with UPS or FedEx than deal with people that hate their jobs and are just pure evil."
