Middle Collegiate Church
About the Business
Welcome to Middle Collegiate Church, a vibrant and inclusive community located at 50 East 7th Street in the heart of Manhattan's East Village. As a place of worship, we are dedicated to fostering a spiritual home for all who seek connection, justice, and transformative love.
Join us as we embark on our 2024-2025 programming year with a heartfelt Homecoming worship at the historic Judson Memorial Church. Our services are designed to ignite your spirit with soul-stirring music and messages that affirm God's fierce love. We invite you to experience worship with us twice on Sundays: at 11:45 a.m. ET online and at 3 p.m. in a hybrid format. Following the 3 p.m. service, enjoy our in-person community fair, where you can connect with small group leaders, sign up for community groups, and enjoy food and fellowship.
At Middle Church, we believe that the gospel is inherently political, and we are actively working towards God's reign here and now. We offer resources to support your spiritual journey, helping you connect with God and engage with our community. No matter what you carry, know that you are not alone – we are here to share your burdens and joys.
Our mission is to rebuild and rejuvenate our church, investing in revolutionary love and justice. After a devastating fire in 2020, we are rising from the ashes, committed to reclaiming and reframing Christianity to align with Jesus' teachings. We invite you to be part of this movement, contributing your time, talents, and resources to help us nurture a community grounded in love and liberation.
Middle Church offers a diverse array of small groups, from ukulele lessons to Queer Black Men in the Middle and our Voting Reform team, with options for virtual gathering. We are committed to training leaders who can bring freedom and justice wherever they go, and thousands have already participated in our digital courses.
Our worship services are a joyful celebration of diversity, providing a glimpse of heaven and filling you with God's liberatory fire. Each week, we tell the story of love through transformative art, ensuring every service is a unique and uplifting experience.
Whether you are seeking a community that celebrates you for who you are or one committed to radical love and justice, Middle Church welcomes you home. Join us in our mission to love God, love our neighbors, and love ourselves—Love. Period. Due to the fire, we are currently worshipping at East End Temple (245 E. 17th St., New York, NY).
Come home to love at Middle Collegiate Church. We can't wait to welcome you into our family.

Reviews
"Life changing community, Minister is the smartest person I've met because she's down with IQ and EQ"
"Jeff Griffith, some critics just don’t get their version of the Gospel. I found the church alive with energy - what every church should be! One star for you, Jeff, 5 stars for Middle. They have suffered a devastating fire. I pray they recover soon. Presbytery of NYC should open or share their space with this live and vibrant family."
"More of a progressive social justice organization rather than a Bible-believing church."
"Politics are elevated over God at this church. Ministers urge members to reframe the Bible through "intersectional lenses." Jesus is said to have been convinced by the Samaritan woman to start ministering to Gentiles. Truly blasphemous theology stems from this church."
"Watch church service every weekend. Love."
