"Harriet Tubman Monument. This new monument in downtown Newark is worth going to see, especially at dusk when it’s just being illuminated. Located in Harriet Tubman Square (former Washington Park), the monument commemorates & celebrates the courageous life of Harriet Tubman and her work as an abolitionist. I’m not sure who created it, but they did a phenomenal job integrating various building materials, lighting and overall design is amazing."
"Why honoring Harriet Tubman by erasing the name of the Founder Father and putting down statues that were paid for former Newark citizens and represent their community? So many empty lots in Newark would have been a good place to built a Square in honor to this incredible woman. That's not the right way to do it."
"We attended community day hosted by Newark Museum and received a guided tour. It was a memorable experience, history, technology and art. Come and see the monument plus there are lots of great restaurants in the vibrant city of Newark."
"Visiting audible. It was a treat to see how ideas come to life. If you ever get an invite. Say yes and enjoy!"
"So underwhelming . There is portable toilet near by. This place seems like a good hangout place for small outdoor sports and just taking a walk around it. Not the quiet kind where you can just rest for the day."
