"Very bad."
"Parking permit process is antiquated. You must wait for a reply / permit by mail. The time between when you apply for the permit and response is not taken into consideration, therfore any tickets for parking without a permit will be valid in court and you will be found guilty in absentia and automatically placed in a payment plan despite your vehicle being registered in town, I didn't know for almost a year when they sent letter demanding payment of tickets, they can manipulate the response time via mail, and have your license suspended for non payment. 2024 they have enough computer literate staff in the police department and parking division to implement a online system like other municipalities in the vicinity to apply and track status of applications of residents. They are still in 1983, no ammendment to the ordinance has been made since inception, with Red Bull Stadium events creating serious traffic issues and times changing this town the town should not profit off the citizens with the smug judge and parking regulations that do not favor the people. They claimed my vehicle was registered in Jersey City, subsequently denied permit, after providing proof of address change from NJMVC, they then said my registration was expired after I inquired why a month later no permit was issued, despite providing proof of valid registration, This town government is not willing to listen to its people, or learn, so we suffer. Good luck with your parking permits... $40 ticket BTW, and they know the inconvenience is not worth fighting over. Or is it? TBC. Allan."
"The lady in the office name Stephanie Lewis, tried to be funny with the virtual code we emailed her 5 times the code she gave us was wrong we called a week a head for the information and she kept saying the court doesn't start till 9 am and then emailed us back saying the court date was the 22cd not the 24th when it was the 24th I don't know who they having working in that office but they need to get new people Also when you go to the hearing the thing is all over the place this is the weirdest court I ever been too."
"As the other review says, Judge McNamara is very patient and fair and she deserves 5 stars. On the complete opposite end is Jason, the court clerk checking callers into the court session. He will accuse you and shout over you to prevent you from sharing your details of the case."
"Called a few weeks ago to ask how I could dispute a street cleaning ticket. The gentleman (court clerk?) on the phone wound up being rude & telling me that I got him really upset. I asked if they had any way (like in NYC) to dispute a ticket via an app, online or mail-in form. I was definitely not upset. I was patient & had a professional tone throughout the call. Even wishing him a great day at the end of the call. Before he got upset, he misspoke and mentioned something about a form. I asked him to tell me more about this form & that’s when he lost his cool. To that, I said he doesn’t need to get upset & tried to calm him down & proceed with helping me out. He went so far as to briefly explain to me the 3 branches of government & how they work together, to eventually explain why he couldn’t answer a question I had. Told him that wasn’t necessary & that I asked him because it’s within his purvue to have circumstantial info about how things work. The whole point of the call was to dispute a ticket, and the only way is to show up to court. Mondays & Wednesdays are the only days, so I picked Monday, Sept 10th. He said I’ll get something in the mail to confirm. Never did. Turns out I can’t make the 10th so I called to cancel & just pay the ticket online. Turns out he made the 10th a pay by date, not a court date. So... did he screw me over by wasting my time? I would venture a yes as his professionalism was less than stellar on the call. The lady that took the call today was the one that explained that it was setup as a pay by date & gave me a new court date. Here’s my complaint of the male court clerk."
