"My son and I deposited a check for over $5000 and received a receipt and an email stating that the check would be broken down into three partial availability dates. However, when we asked the representative, she informed us that they no longer provide partial payments. If the bank is going to hold the entire check, it should be made clear, like other banks do, such as Bank of America, where I also have an account. Just give one date when the funds will be available for the full deposit on the availability date. Receiving the email and the receipt was very misleading, and of course, we were expecting the partial deposits to reflect the receipt and email. We asked the representative to verify the check, providing all the requested information, but we were told they couldn't verify the phone number or address from a verification database, even though it was from a law firm and business. I asked for a bank-to-bank verification, which would have been more accurate, but I was told it wasn't possible. Additionally, the representative mentioned that the email and the receipt weren't clear and could be confusing, but they did the minimum to help the situation. They also informed me that the check would be clear three days after the date that was stated on the receipt. I also inquired about when this rule of not providing partial payments for extensive checks was implemented, as we never received an update on the policy, even though I’ve had an account with you guys for over ten years and have had plenty of checks fully available the next day or partial payments."
