"unfortunate they closed down all of the other local branches leaving open the worst one in Huntington station. I come to this branch often, and there has not been a single instance where the atm machines were functioning properly. Every time I drive toward it I wonder what’s not going to work this time."
"I have always found the staff and bank officers at the Capital One Bank at 19 West Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station very helpful and very patient. They are a very nice group and represent Capital One in a very professional way."
"Staff at this location could use some training. I wanted to deposit a check and complete something from an email about my credit card, as well as open a savings account. I was first told that most things are done online and not in the bank. Obviously it’s 2022. But since I was in to make a big deposit I just thought hey I’ll open it in person. When I wanted to make another deposit on a separate account they told me I could make that big of a deposit. I explained the policy I read online and they simply told me no. I told them to check with a supervisor she said the same. I ended up depositing my check at the atm and not doing a deposit for my credit card. I finally did it online and they accepted the amount I wanted to pay online like I tried to tell them in the beginning. They don’t know the policy. You are better off doing research on your own. I don’t understand why they’re in the building if they have no knowledge of their own policies. I really think they didn’t want to help me because I interrupted their conversation about nothing. I understand that most things are done online, but I also had more questions that I didn’t even feel comfortable asking because they were in a rush get me out the door. If it wasn’t for the early direct deposit and good things I hear about Capital One I would’ve closed all of my accounts on site. All it takes is One bad apple. I’d rather not deal with people and just handle business electronically with this bank."
"This is the worlds SLOWEST bank!!! I have a condition where I am in pain all the time. I have to take my son to cash his check from this bank. I am sitting outside this bank for at LEAST 1/2 an hour each time I come waiting in pain. Right now as I’m writing this I have been waiting 45 min. while my son is getting his check cashed! Come on!!! Because my son is disabled he has his bank account here, they don’t charge him for his savings account. That certainly doesn’t mean they should have devastatingly SLOW service. There would be no way I’d pay for this slow service."
"I come to this branch only because the Halesite and Greenlawn locations were closed. Who's dumb idea was it to close those branches? Plus, the branch is only open til 12pm when they used to be open at 1pm. Another dumb idea to shorten hours. Now, you have long lines, not enough tellers to cut the line down since everyone in the Huntington area has no choice, but to come there. I thought we were supposed to socially distance with Covid still an issue. Doesn't seem that way when you step into this branch. Plus, no one made the effort to post a notice on the branch doors to notify patrons that the branch was closed due to a Covid issue this week. A bunch of us stood there for several minutes before giving up and heading to the Commack branch and finding out the true story. Thank God I do my primary banking with Wells Fargo and TFCU. Even Chase is better staffed and has longer hours."
