"2 hours wait...the worst customer service ever"

"Absolutely Worst Bank Ever. The service is a zero. People are rude and incompetent. I mailed out checks which were intercepted and washed and Webster Bank cashed them and did not reimburse $8,900 of my money. I never would think anything like this could happen! It took the bank months to do their "obligatory" internal investigation. After unanswered emails at one point my "account representative" Eva even told me that the reason she wasn't answering my emails was because she was on vacation and the branch needs additional staff!! Imagine someone telling you that after they took $8,900 of your money!"

"Terrible service. Try cashing a check from a relative. Was told relative signature was not in this branch. That I had to go 3 miles to relative branch to cash check. I asked teller to call the branch to approve signature and she would not do it! So, we can put a man on the moon. And send email in seconds, but a signature could not be collected from one branch to the next.? Stay away, do not enter!"

"My first attempt to resolve a fraud issue wasn't followed by correct procedures. After a month of waiting for a resolution I went to another representative at the branch and he handled it better and I received my credit within a few days. After being at this branch for several years with Astoria Federal, now with Sterling I'm considering closing all my accounts and going next door to Chase"
