"Karina Romero is totally incompetent. Did not ask her to do multi transfer and she did it anyway and couldn't reverse it. Then they just told me there's nothing they can do about it because it is what it is. Who authorized her to do whatever she feels like and don't confirm with the client. There isn't a manger in site to complain about it too. I'll be writing a full report up to m&t."
"My mom and I recently had a great customer service experience at this branch. They have been always very friendly and responsive to our needs. They still have the human touch and go the extra mile to help you. We are especially grateful to Mr Duk Yong Kwon for his professionalism and for going the extra mile. This is hard to find in any business these days. Thank you for your great service."
"Absolutely horrible experience with a mortgage. They dragged their feet for 5 months on an approved mortgage and finally they said the application expires after 30 days. As an existing customer, I will be moving to another bank. These people have no idea what they are doing."
"I had been a client of Hudson City Savings Bank since I was 14; I'm now 60. My parents, grandparents and children all banked at Hudson City. Now, none of us do because since M&T took over, we've had nothing but aggravation. It started when they mixed up all our accounts, including combining various family member's accounts! After that was straightened out, depositing small amounts of money requires a near background check and interrogation as though we're laundering money for the mob. We've been spoken to and treated like criminals when we have done nothing to warrant it. It seemed so ridiculous to me that they were copying my drivers license every time I went into the bank, I asked if there was a problem with my accounts. I asked if someone else was trying to access my accounts. I was told that wasn't the case. The relentless phone calls to me while I was at work prompted me to ask why they were bothering (harassing) me after all my years of living in the same house and town for 40 years, and banking in the same location for the same amount of time. They pushed me to ask two questions: do they no longer want me as a customer, and were they targeting me because I have a middle eastern name? The responses forced my hand: "I was free to bank else where.; and "Post 9-11 we have to be more thorough." I'm an English teacher. I understand inference. The bank's employees' actions and attitudes also spoke volumes. My response: "My grandfather proudly served in WW1, my father in the Korean War, and my brother as a U.S. Navy lifer; what have you and your family done for this country?" I have now fulfilled my obligation because as Edmund Burke said, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." I did something. I exposed this poor treatment of good people."
"There is one dumb Spanish woman who thinks her customers are freaking thefts. I just wanted to withdraw some cash but she gave me such a suspicious look and did a freaking background check of me, and asked me so many dumb questions. I asked her if there's anything wrong with my account and she said that she had to make sure I am who I am even tho I showed her my ID. I am getting rid of my M&T account cuz of this dumbass woman."
