"Nice place but the mother comes off as a bit of a con artist."
"Great place to send your kids!"
"I recommend Laurel Crown Farms highly to any one looking to either learn to ride, become a serious competitor or board your precious pony or horse. I speak from personal experience as I have been riding at this barn under Laura Beth Strong for 12 years. I am grateful to Laura Beth because she has helped me to become the rider I am today. When I came to Laurel Crown I was showing my large pony but I was a very timid rider. She helped me gain confidence to move up to higher divisions that very first summer I trained with her. Laura Beth has a special way of connecting with her students and always puts them first. She has the gift and talent of knowing just how to coach the rider and their horse. She creates an amazing synergy between them. This is a lot of work on all parts but it’s worth it. Each lesson she teaches is specifically targeted to the rider and horse and what they need to work on. She pushes you and shows you how hard work really pays off, and when you work hard the ribbons will follow. Laura Beth helped me achieve my dreams and so much more throughout my junior career. When I aged out she helped me make the smooth transition to an Amateur and in my first amateur year with Laura Beth, my horse Encore And I won a Tri-color at every show we competed in . LB has also has brought me to huge venues and introduced me to the top trainers in the country to help me network. I’ve been in the equestrian world since I was three years old and Laura Beth is by far the hardest working trainer out there. She is a true professional and a role model in her field. LB always has you and your horses backs . I can never thank LB enough for all of the support, guidance and knowledge she has demonstrated to me over the years. As I mentioned, I have been at Laurel Crown Farm for 12 years, during that time I have had four horses. The care at this barn for the horses is exemplary. Each horse has a program that specifically fits them, whether it is specific turn out, or special food, LCF is always on top of it. The grooms are friendly, kind, and compassionate. They treat the horses as if they were their own. My large pony is retired and they keep him looking as if he could step back into the ring tomorrow. In 2013 I left my horses in Laura Beth’s care at her barn and went to college in South Carolina. I was sad to leave but I knew my horses were in the best care they could be. I got weekly updates and pictures of each of my horses while gone and I was always informed and had a say about their care even though I was away at college. Laurel Crown Farms also has amazing assistant trainers. Jacqueline, Erica and Vanessa are a true assets to the barn. Jacqueline specializes in technical skills which comes from her Equitation background. She believes In asking question and positive re enforcement. Erica is amazing with all of the riders but is welcomed by riders who need to gain confidence as well as the new very young riders . Vanessa is skilled with the beginner students. All of these trainers have the amazing ability to connect with their students and help them achieve their goals. To sum it up, based on my personal experience, I would highly recommend LCF as a top notch equestrian facility. Whether you looking to learn, further your knowledge and skills, be one of the top competitors in the country or just enjoy a beautiful healthy atmosphere, LCF is the place for toy. My two Horses Oliver and Lilly thoroughly agree!"
