About the Business
Welcome to the Baiting Hollow Free Library, a cherished community resource located at 4 Warner Drive, Calverton, New York. Established in 1903 by the minister's wife in the back of the Baiting Hollow Church, our library has a rich history of serving the local community. In the 1940s, thanks to the generous donations from the Warner and Talmadge families, we moved to our current building, where we have continued to grow and evolve.
As a proud member of the Suffolk Cooperative Library System since 1972, we strive to meet the diverse needs of our patrons. Our collection is thoughtfully curated, featuring selections from the New York Times bestseller list and specific requests from our valued visitors. We are currently conducting a survey to discover which authors you'd like to see more of in our library, ensuring that our offerings reflect your interests.
Join us on May 12, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Baiting Hollow Congregational Church yard sale. Visit our table to explore a variety of books at unbeatable prices and find your next great read.
At Baiting Hollow Free Library, we are committed to fostering a love for reading and providing a welcoming space for all. We invite you to visit us and become a part of our vibrant community.

Reviews
"I went to the Baiting Hollow Elementary School across the street from this library many many years ago. Kindergarten, 1st. grade and half of 2nd grade when we moved to the Reily Ave Elementary School. I remember holding hands with my classmates and crossing the street and checking out a book. So glad to see it's still there...."
