Reviews
"Large selection very neat and clean and quiet, very pleasant place to expand your knowledge"
"The WB Public Library is wonderful! Always a great selection in the "new releases" area. The atmosphere is friendly and the building is clean and well-maintained. The staff is always helpful...I especially like how they will reserve a book upon request."
"Recently I went to the library and needed some help with copying and printing some important documents. Tyler and Phyllis were so helpful and made it seem effortless. I would like to thank them both for being so kind . It meant alot to me."
"Wish my family and I could find the nice polite staff that the other people are writing about in their reviews. Unfortunately my family and I have had many bad experiences multiple times with the staff at this library. We wanted to participate and take advantage of the museum tickets reservations that were available. When my husband asked for assistance with making the reservation and obtaining the tickets the librarian refused to help him because she stated that our daughter went to Babylon School district which is true however, we reside in West Babylon and are West Babylon residence and we had the proof. Unfortunately she stated that she could no longer assist my husband due to the fact that our daughter attended Babylon School district and told us to ask Babylon Library for assistance instead. On another occasion, it was a Saturday and my husband was finishing his college paper and after his 3 hour computer use was asked to leave because the policy states that he is only allowed to use the computer for three hours. Understandable but he still asked if the librarian can be courteous as he was almost done with his paper and she refused. Then my husband asked to speak to a supervisor and she stated that she was the supervisor and could not make an exception. My husband stated that he had gotten an extension before and asked since when did they no longer allow extensions and she refused to give him an answer and demanded for him to leave. There was no one else in the computer room and there were still a couple of hours left till closing. We understand rules are rules and guidelines have be followed but kindness, politeness and courtesy is what this library staff lacks."
"Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and organized sections. Programs for kids that you can sign up for. Highly recommend taking your kids if you want to encourage reading. A different atmosphere besides home sometimes makes a big difference."
