"I’m mortified by what I’ve seen at this library it is very unfortunate. Number one in the library is kept way too hot and people overheat from what I’ve heard from other customers very much so me included. The workers themselves are very good. I have not had any problems with workers so far very Friendly. However, the reason I am mortified is there are multiple inappropriate books in the kids sections showing sexual genitalia, as well as telling them to strip naked for protests and to do inappropriate things and inappropriate conduct. I have nothing against the LGTB. But this is absolutely appalling and should not be on children’s books and children’s bookshelves and trying to confuse kids, as well as showing again inappropriate diagrams and pictures of things they should not be taking out of the library and telling them to strip naked to protest Their beliefs in general. These are kids these are babies. You’ve got to be kidding me."
"This is my first visit to this public library and I must say it was an amazing experience. The parking lot was full of cars and that shows how many people still love to read the hard copy. The book collection was huge and the business management books were just assets I must say. Lots of young kids playing and learning tonstidy which was amazing to see. The adults on 1st floor are reading and gaining knowledge silently. Overall it was a great experience and I'll surely come back frequently to gain new skills. I think it is the same across the USA in public libraries. Love for books is great to see."
"Such a beautiful building -- with the MOST unfriendly, unpleasant people I've ever encountered in public service. Rude, abrupt, put-out and seemingly bothered even when you simply say "Good morning" as they glare at you upon walking into the library (ya, me with my million dollar family income, not some ghetto homeless derelict living on the streets). We are GUESTS to this community, spending thousands of dollars this week on hotel and restaurants, and shopping too...and when I asked if I could use one of the 4-5 *completely empty* and non-reserved small conference rooms for a scheduled 20 minute phone call requiring a minimum of privacy and a small working space for the Zoom, several staff were clear that as I'm not a resident, that's NOT PERMISSABLE. What would explain such a policy? I might occupy an empty chair at an empty table for 20-30 minutes? They're afraid I might do something productive? Concerned I might use the table surface to type on my laptop? WHO MAKES SUCH POLICIES? I'm allowed as a NON-RESIDENT to enter the building, but CAN'T ENTER A CONFERENCE ROOM (with glass walls, so its not like I'm going to party in the room, or something). I'm surprised I can even access the guest WiFi without presenting a library card. I'd be embarrassed to live in this area and I hope we can single out these imbe ciles should they ever visit MY community. People like to hate New York, and you might be forgiven for thinking it unfair criticism. But its the people, specifically in my experience, the NON-immigrant New Yorkers, the generational residents who seem to all have that "sharp-elbows" nature to themselves, and at least several of them work at this place. I wonder if they give the LOCAL TAXPAYERS the same crummy attitudes and service. I'd fire the whole lot of them. This white elephant building -- millions of dollars -- probably added a lot to the local tax burden."
"Love doing these stained glass projects. It's fun and relaxing. Hope Bonnie does more of these classses."
"I’ve never encounter such unpleasant staff and environment. Not helpful and made you feel like an outsider just because it’s not your zone library. The children aras is right below the adult computers and extremely distracting noise from the kids. A library is to be quite were you can do work peaceful. They need to work on being more friendly and approachable."
