Reviews
"Nestled on the southern end of Branch Brook Park, Prudential Concert Grove is one lively section of the park. Almost any day you can find people and families enjoying the scenery and atmosphere. In addition to the eponymous concerts that take place, one can enjoy the permeant wide open space for running around, relaxing, and picnicking. There are numerous walking trails, part of which, even though unsigned, comprise the eastern end of the Lenape Trail, a 36 mile walking trail through 18 parks and 11 municipalities across Essex County in an inverted U, with the other end in the South Mountain Reservation in Millburn. The Grove also has several artistic statues, including a pair of lions, and statues dedicated to the great architect Frederick Law Olmsted, to whom Essex County Parks owe a great debt of gratitude to, and the classic composer Felix Mendelssohn, and The Centennial Tree. Of course, there is a lake there that is stocked for trout fishing. NO SWIMMING THOUGH. Look off to the east and you can take in a view of an architectural marvel, The Basilica Of The Sacred Heart, a truly breathtaking spectacle. They don't make buildings like that anymore. Enjoy your time there."
"Good spot for cherry blossoms at New Jersey."
"There’s a small path along the water to view the bloomed cherry blossom. Great paved walking/running path, dog friendly on leashes! Over looks water and Cathedral. Plenty of paralleled parking along road, some lots further down in the park."
"Wonderful space that is used for concerts, events and volunteering opportunities. I enjoy this part of the park for its historical architectural work and landscape views."
