Reviews
"Want to update my review, nine years later— this is still the most miserable place on earth. They don’t deliver your packages. They say they attempt delivery, but I have sat all day waiting and no one attempts delivery. Once tracking info says your packages are ready for pickup at the post office, you may wait for an hour, and once you get to the window, you may be told “if you’re lucky, you’ll get it” The only wild card is if your carrier (who delivers on foot) is good, which mine is. An absolutely lovely woman who is great at her job. However, most packages/boxes are in vans, and THAT is who doesn’t bother to get out of their vehicle when they don’t feel like it. I’ve never once had an experience here that isn’t similarly insane. Do anything and everything you can to make purchases shipped by other providers if you move into the 10036 zip code. Previous review, November 2015: I have no words. Since I moved to Hell's Kitchen three months ago,, I have stopped getting most of my mail. My carrier, who will not answer questions or make eye contact, constantly leaves "peach slips" in my mailbox, stating no one was home. I'm ALWAYS home, and I know he doesn't ring the bell. I then go to the post office to collect my package per the instructions on the slip. They tell me the carrier took it back out because there's "no room upstairs". I perched in my lobby today to see if he had it. When the carrier walked in the door, I asked him if he had the package. He (without making eye contact) said, "What about it?" He proceeded to fill the mailboxes in silence, turned his back, said, "that's the mail", and walked out. I've had multiple family and friends tell me they sent things to me which were returned as undeliverable. I bought a dress online which disappeared, yet was marked as delivered. I was naively under the impression there is some legal obligation for the post office to deliver one's mail. Complaints get nowhere. How has someone up the chain not done something about this?"
"i would give a negative star if i could. Why are all the staff so rude? They are probably so unfortunate with their life that they can’t even come up with one single nice word. Seriously I don’t know why they’re still working there."
"None of the staff here want to be here. The service is slow and the team are rude, short and obnoxious. Over an hour to post a simple letter with no direction or guidance - just laziness."
"Really wonder why everyone working here is so mean and hateful, are they not getting enough paid? Or were they trained to have this horrible attitude? It must because they hate their jobs so much that they can’t help rolling their eyes no matter what customer do. THE MOST HORRIBLE AND WORST USPS ever"
"I want to thank Naysha who helped me so much with my passport renewal this was my first time doing it this way cause I made appointment in the past so I was nervous to make mistakes And if I don’t give a 5 ⭐️it is cause there were two female clerks the first who i addressed myself she was clear skin skinny with a bandanna on her hair she didn’t have any customer service experience and talked to much with a man not a customer just a random person……seeing other people on line no professional at all and the other on her right who was the clerk for passports 5.4’ average black curly hair and light brown skin as soon she heard that I will need her help she denied me her help with expressions to her coworkers sooooo Naysha was the one who accepted to help me this is why i mentioned her at the beginning cause she is a light in all darkness I could see in there KEEP IT UP NAYSHA YOU ARE THE BEST THERE AND HOPEFULLY THEY WILL LEARN FROM YOUR KINDNESS AND EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE"
