"Great place to bring your family. Dog friendly place too. One thing though, don't feed the wildlife. The critters will allow you to feed them all day; that's how spoiled they are. This park is also a great place to run. One lap is .6 miles so 5 laps around will get you 3 miles. If you want to avoid the crowd, get there early or get there after 5 pm when there is less people."
"When I was a kid playing baseball on this field in the 1970s, there were trees that blocked the view of Cross Island Parkway making it a cute private enclave. It was known as Bell Field. Later, my football team, the Bayside Cardinals, practiced there, too. Coach Randy Eisler RIP. A path in the woods used to go all the way to the LIE and we’d ride our bikes fast as we could back and forth. Let me know if it’s still there."
"You don't have to go upstate to enjoy a beautiful park surrounded by nature. A nice way to enjoy a nature walk around a beautiful lake with fish birds and bull frogs (?) Dog walkers, photographers, excersize buffs all enjoy this little haven that doesn't look like you are in the city. Come down and enjoy it!"
"No words could describe this nature beautiful scene."
"A gem of a park... hidden away in Bayside."
