"Got a ticket for “abusing permits and vouchers”. I just got a new car and I have temp tags until i get my title from the dealer. So i was given a temporary permit to park for one month. It’s a piece of paper that you put on your dashboard which i did have on there. I pass by the car and i see i got a ticket why? Cause the expiration date isn’t visible but if whoever gave me the ticket had an ounce of decency he would’ve checked the expiration date on the temp tag and would’ve noticed it expires in another 2 weeks. West new York parking authority is a joke."

"imagine being right in front of your car and receiving a ticket and after informing the officer that this is your car, the officer, without an ounce of human decency ishrugs his shoulder and rudely places it under your windshield wiper instead of handing it to you."

"Honestly I buy a town street parking sticker for like $10 per year, and I park like an experienced driver not like I just arrived from a third world country. Haven't gotten a ticket in years. Staff is super friendly. No complaints."

"They need work! I have been living in West New York for quite a while now, I love the fact that they are moving forward ( the town ) and are trying to incorporate the electronic meters. However, this is far from working properly. Over the last few months, I have been issue parking tickets. The problem I keep encountering is that I have time ( credit ) in the meters. But aparently, the staff doesnt refresh their system before printing out their tickets. If they see nothing on their computers, they will issue the ticket without double checking if the person added money. Last night October 10th, 2018. I parked at the usual spot I leave my car overnight. I arrived to the parking lot around 10:50pm. I immediately, went on the app and added time since the meters are working until midnight. The parking patrol saw me getting out of my car, looking at the floor ( Spot Number ) and still gave me a ticket. The lack of structure and unfairness is beyond ethical. Parking tickets over time can hinder your insurance policy and I have gotten tickets like this before. Im a full time student and have a full time job. I cannot afford to miss school/ work over some mistake that could of been avoided, specialy if protocol is followed. At times is easier to just pay the ticket than to go to court and fight them. but I refure to keep throwing money out of the window because they are not doing their part."
