"I opened an account and am currently renting a unit here. The staff is nice and the place is clean but 3 months in, they have just notified me that they will be doubling my price. Now I have to look around and find somewhere else. I even recommended this place to a friend who opened a unit there as well and will have to explain why I recommended such a shady place. I talked on the phone with a rep at the call center and he was very standoffish and rude. I spoke with Kendall and she is working with me on stopping this increase and locking me in for a year at my original rate. I hope I'm able to take this review down and replace it with a 5 star review if I can get this resolved."

"Excellent experience thus far. Attendants are vey helpful with friendly manner. Place is kept clean and well lite. Only negative is it the high rent and the very good possibility of having it increase throughout the year which I don't understand! A yearly contract for those who desire one should be available."

"I had been storing my stuff in secure space for 4 months now , at the beginning everything was good , but after a month they stared charging me double the amount, after the four months the amount is almost 5k , an amount completely absurd for a storage room. After that I decided to come to nyc to pick up my stuff since it’s really expensive. When I started packing everything with my mom ( she came w me to help me ) , the employee that was working there stared to get anoyed at us , and when I was putting my stuff outside , he decided to yell at my mom and me , because we were vandalizing the street w garbage ( it was 5 furniture pieces ) , after that he had the audacity to tell us that we can’t throw away any garbage in the garbage bins of the storage building , and that if we did , he would call the police to arrest us . Me and my mom both got shocked by that statement, then he added that he was going to take pictures of the dirty vandalized street so I did the same (you can see the pictures here). Finally we called an Uber and left, but I do wanna add some details I’m 5’1 , 125 lbs and Latina , my mom is 4’11, 120 lbs and also Latina , and the worker who was tall , brown hair and has tattoos in both of his arms , not only screamed at us , made fun of how we speak by mocking us in Spanish ,but also didn’t help us one bit , he didn’t let my mom use the bathroom, and even called me a liar in my face when I left . If you wanna get your money stolen , screamed at , discriminated and threatened with arrest, go to this place. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO ANOTHER STORAGE COMPANY"

Remarkably, the rates are some of the most competitive in the Upper East Side area. The unit and the overall facility didn’t disappoint either. The freshness of the lighting and paint added to the sense of quality and care in the space. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the exceptional service provided by the storage manager, Eric. His assistance in navigating the pricing and paperwork was invaluable. Eric took the time to thoroughly outline the various options, detailed the fee structure, and clarified the rental terms with such clarity that it made the entire process a breeze. His positive demeanor and warm welcome only enhanced the overall experience. An additional convenience is the location of SecureSpace. Tucked away on a pleasant street, it boasts a dedicated loading area, eliminating the usual hassle of street parking. The sole suggestion I would offer is extended access hours. Currently, the facility is accessible from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and it would be beneficial to have the option for entry beyond 6:00 PM, for those of us with busy working schedules during the day. In summary, my satisfaction with the space and the service is sky-high, and I would confidently recommend SecureSpace Self Storage to anyone in need of a reliable storage solution."
