Reviews
"Small but very nice synagogue, led by a great Rabbi, Aaron Mehlman. This synagogue was "founded in 1940 by a group of German Jews fleeing the horrors of Nazi Germany." Photos can be seen in the book, "Ten Times Chai: 180 Orthodox Synagogues of New York City.""
"Warm and inviting place. Accepting of everyone."
"Nice place there is an excellent name"
"We stayed on Shabbat in New York and arrived at the Ohev Shalom Synagogue for Shabbat's morning prayer in the Sephardic minyan. We felt at home. The prayer was wonderful. The local worshipers welcomed us with a warm welcome and we were also invited to the Kiddush after the prayer. It was a rich and delicious stay and above all everyone there is kind and creates a good atmosphere. So thank you very much to the community of worshipers in Ohav Shalom."
