"The people's church is of historical value since the late 1960s during the period of the young lords party who started a free food program and other activities for the community of East Harlem to this day on Saturdays at 11 am you can get free food at the food pantry along with volunteer opportunities"
"I love this church cause this one is not that far."
"I’m a volunteer here and I love it. Such a great center providing resources to the community, like weekly food lines, block parties, free acupuncture, etc. Awesome pastor trained in liberation theology."
"The church's congregation is like a family. Full of warmth and always welcoming of all who walk through the doors. The building itself is the home they worked very hard for. They often give out food supplies and other items at hand which is so important for the community in need. My son looks forward to to his children bible study every week and loves coming to church. I like that children are allowed to be become involved in the service while teaching them. Strong life long relationships are formed. My Grandmother was married here and continues to attend and support the church, my mother went here, and now I enjoy taking my children."
"YOU SHOULD ADD DETAILS ABOUT THE LOCATION & THE RICH HISTORY OF THE CHURCH. ALSO THE PRESENT PASTOR’S NAME & TIME OF SERVICES. THANK YOU& GOD BLESS"
