"The MTA does what it can to keep people safe and keep the station clean. If you are expecting to deal with the booth attendants, you might be slightly disappointed. Should you have a MetroCard that you would like to transfer funds to or from one card to another, expect to be told that the system won't allow them to do it. This may be because of the current situation happening around the globe. Although don't let that discourage you. The MTA is giving away free masks for riders should you not have one. Also, stations may have hand sanitizer as well. The system even with it's obstacles is still the most affordable way to travel within New York City."
