"went with a friend and had a lovely time sitting at the bar reading through books. this is such a crafty little bookstore. they've got a versatile selection of books, an interesting wine selection and a soothing yet chic athmosphere. a great place to spend a weekend afternoon or enjoy a cozy evening"
"LOVE this place! Great vibes, the music is always good and the guy who served me, Chris, is really welcoming! I’m not really knowledgeable about wine and he was really patient with me and helped me find one I liked. 10/10 would recommend."
"Place is beautiful and love the concept but the blonde guy with long hair has a terrible attitude. Could already sense the odd, irritable energy but decided to look past it. Then spent $55 in the store just for him to walk away afterwards, not telling me I was all done, no goodnight or anything. Would def come back if someone else were working. Reading the other reviews about this store contributing to gentrification. Being kind to the community that you’re serving might help."
"Loved being here! It was such a calm and peaceful vibe. You can grab a glass of wine, sake, beer, Kombucha, or tea. They have a great collection of specialty books and some vinyl records. I loved their backyard, too. you can tell this space was created with lots of intention, even the stools at the bar caught my attention, haha"
"Absolutely love the design and custom made interior at DFB, Anna is a wonderful host and I feel honored to have launched my book in this beautiful space among her carefully selected vintage finds. ‘A bookstore can be so much more, a place where people feel welcome and want to spend time. We do need time to enjoy beautiful things, especially books.’ Looking forward to come back soon for a glass of wine or delicious kombucha at the bar and read a magazine ….or talk to strangers who become friends. This place is a gem."
