New York Law School Library

Welcome to the New York Law School Library, a cornerstone of academic excellence located at 185 West Broadway, Manhattan, New York. Our library is an integral part of the intellectual fabric of New York Law School, dedicated to supporting the research and educational needs of our vibrant community.

Operating with extensive hours to accommodate your busy schedule, the library is open Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Our Circulation and Reserve services are available during these hours, with staff ready to assist with any queries at circulation@nyls.edu.

The Mendik Library offers a comprehensive collection of physical legal resources complemented by advanced electronic research tools, providing ample space for both individual and group study. Our professional librarians are committed to guiding NYLS community members, offering a rich research instruction curriculum that bridges classroom learning with practical legal research and analytical skills.

We also collaborate closely with the School’s Legal Practice Program, clinics, scholarly journals, and competition teams, ensuring our students have the resources they need for a variety of research and writing projects.
