"I was excited that the library was open on a Sunday, in late June. After going online to check on book availability, I was excited about getting a requested book I needed for this coming Friday and my lesson plans. Two super rude librarians ignored me for a long time while I waited at the desk. Then, after ignoring me, they were short-tempered, dismissive, rude, and then finally said the book wasn't there. I would give the library staff there on Sunday afternoon, zero stars if that was possible."
"Not a good place to study/read. It is a single-floor noisy little library. Half of it is a loud children's section. There are a few tables for studying, that too near the customer help desk, and even this area is full of kids/people talking. None of the staff are asking people to be quiet. Unfortunately it's the only public library open in Queens on Sundays. A shame."
"The workers are welcoming and accessible. They have FREE evening tutoring, and awesome activities. The only negative side to this library is that it has NO books, at least in the YA. Everytime I get recommend a book, I run to the library, only to see that they don't have it. Then when I request it, it takes FOREVER to come! But other then that, the workers are awesome, the activities are awesome, and the tutoring is awesome!"
"Great selection of books, cool design, but probably the loudest library I’ve ever been to. They don’t enforce any kind of “quiet rules” you’d expect in a library. I had to endure everything from old local burnouts loudly discussing politics to yelling kids (and crying kids) to loud rude phone conversations to various constant babbling. Zero consideration. It’s honestly stupid to try and read or study there. Get your books and get out is the best bet. Oh yeah, no paper towels or soap in the restrooms either. SMH"
"Stopped by because it was conveniently open on a Sunday. The building was recently renovated (haven't been here before that). It is aesthetically pleasing and airy. There's a large selection of books, DVD's and seating. Children's section is loud, crowded, noisy and disheveled. Parking in surrounding area is very difficult."
