Virginia Park

"The playground for children is okay. They have a sprinkler when the weather is warm, for the kids to cool off. The bathroom is not clean, and the door to the stalls don't close It's not a place u would allow your child to go in without proper supervision from a parent. The park can do a much better job by keeping the bathroom safer, I know it's a public park, but they can do better, considering the amount of children in the park playing."

"It should go without saying that PLACES like Virginia Park are a Godsend to urbanites. Reconstruction of the grounds went on during The Pandemic. Displaced homeless people were itching to get the park back. An unfortunate negotiation of public space that taxpaying citizens have no real say in. I would suggest enjoying the usage of the benches before the area becomes a haven for the homless. I emphasize this due to the economic realities of NYC life. Either you've got it, or you don't. All that being said, the openness of each entrance now allows schoolkids and working class adults quicker access between the Parkchester elevated station and the BX 36/39 Bus Stop along White Plains Road. Having grown up near this park for 4 decades, I can say Virginia Park has seen better days. Yet now in 2021, the future of the park just became brighter!"

"It's really good for kids and adults. The bus stop is is right beside it. It has cold water fountain for everyone and the best thing is the boat that sits in the middle of it."

"It is an adult park no kids playground. Sometimes there is painting here for children but earlier in the day. Late afternoon through the evening kids should be supervised."

"It's ok because it's my favorite place to unwind after a long day. Most people sit here waiting for the Bx4, Bx4a, Bx36 or the Bx39. I like to listen to music here or make phone calls. This park is very old and there are rumors that it might be fixed one day. That's why I only gave it 3 stars. It's 5 stars for my favorite relaxing place to sit and 1 star because when it rains, you get large puddles and because the place is old. That's an average of 3 stars. Also, the rats give the place a 5 star rating because they are not poisoned there and they are frequently left food by the slobs that don't care about where they live. Bye!!"
