"I value the public library and it’s importance in the neighborhood. However the librarians at this location are not friendly and often come off as rude. There is also very limited actual seating space and while the areas are clean, the seating arrangements could be reconfigured in a better way for more people to actually sit at tables. There is so much valuable space used for the librarian and customer service areas, and conference/meeting rooms that aren’t frequently in use, but not enough for people from the community to come in and actually sit. Not to mention this is supposed to be a cooling center in the middle of a heat wave, but the hours and seating do not accommodate for that. Lastly, this library and its staff do not put in work to actually publicize and market the free and valuable community services or events they offer. In a predominantly non-English speaking community, and with the rise of immigrants and homeless people in our neighborhood, we need the library now more than ever to provide these services. I’m disappointed in this branch."
"First of all I think it is fabulous that there are places like this, the comment I am going to make is just a recommendation, the library is supposed to close at 6 pm, today I went to print some important documents and having everything ready after 45 minutes writing the computer was turned off at 5:45 am:45 , the truth I found it very bad of the lady in charge who acted as if she was not interested in my anguish, 1 they deleted my work, 2 it was something important and 3 there was still 15 minutes to close, despite I begged her to allow me to print she simply said . We are closing and I can't do anything. I know it is a free service and I like the place, neat, nice, clean but I think being a good human being should be above all . Thank you"
"Its a nice place in terms of facilities. It has good desks, chairs and the computers are perfectly fine. It's clean. However, I consider it has not an appropriate environment for studying or reading; the stuff do not help to keep the library quiet (as a library should be); there is people all the time talking by phone, eating and/or talking out loud. So annoying!"
"Ran in this afternoon 8/15 to renew my library card and I had my small dog in a carry sack and was denied entry. I totally understand their rules and the security guard was so nice and the librarian answered my questions from the door. I returned and renew my library card (make sure you have ID with a picture) and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Customer service, the librarian and the security guard was extremely nice! One of my favorite locations. A++++"
"Super grateful for this library it’s been part of my community for many years and I’ve been going there for 20 years. They have a great collection of All genres and many toys and children friendly events. I miss their summer reading celebrations. There’s also a public bathroom for use. Some of the librarians can appear too blunt or crude so that’s my only piece of advice. I also wished they had more adult crime fiction and investigative journalism type books! They should also consider adding more adult movie nights and evening events"
