Reviews of Municipal Court
"I lived in this town my entire life, let's just say in this town has gone to the porta potty since the council and friends about 10 years took over. ill leave it at that."
"I guess almost 14k in property taxes doesn’t cover enough for literally anyone to answer the phone and when you go in person everyone is avoiding working AND has a nasty attitude. You need to do better as whole. If you don’t want to be there then quit so someone who actually wants to work can replace you. I would love to get a check for being the nastiest grumpiest person to people just trying to get help."
"I have been calling for two days non stop and no one answers at this point I don’t know if they are open. I emailed the prosecutor like instructed in JANUARY we are now going into April and I have received nothing in the mail nothing from my public defender Cliftons court system is embarrassing something needs to change because Passaic and Paterson answered promptly and I was able to resolve everything so easily but with Clifton they can’t answer a phone They are literally playing with peoples lives at this point ridiculous"
"No one answers the phone, Brunt the judge is incompetent. I think he got his bar license from the back of a cereal box. He tries and strong arm you in the payment plan, act as if their doing you a favor when the case against you isn't worth the ink printed on it. Receptionist said I was threatening her. I had good laugh when I read the letter. Good thing I save all my emails. Let me know if you want me to post your letter Brunt along with my emails. In which Brunt threatens to manufacturer a disorderly person offense against me. Court of law more like court of clowns. But then again I only go into that town when I need to make a payment. Brunt and the staff at Clifton including the officers definitely rode the short bus. I would rather buy a house in North Korea before ever buying a piece of property in Clifton, NJ. All hail Brunt Jong-Un."
"My court time was at 8:45 am. I got there at 8:30 along with 20 some others. We waited until 9:45 (!) until court doors opened. The judge did not enter the room until 10:15 (!). There were about 35 people in the courtroom that morning. The bigger cases like DWI and other criminal charges were taken first, while the people who committed minor offenses waited for hours. The last person (me) was called up at 2:00 PM for unsafe driving :( Here's my question--2 questions rather; shouldn't driving violations and criminal violations be separated into different days or times of the day? Why should someone that sped need to be exposed to all types of criminal violations like manslaughter, etc? Second question: shouldn't the individual with the larger crimes need to wait longer for their hearing than those with smaller crimes...? I understand that usually there is a lawyer involved and that is why they are called earlier, but this system doesn't seem to make sense. Separating the hearings into separate days for criminal charges and separate days for non-criminal charges seems to be the best solution. What do others think?"
