"This library is amazing! The selection of books is great, and the events are fun, too. There are lots of activities going on at this library, and all of them are well thought out. The people that work there are very helpful and kind. Five stars, for sure!"
"This library is one of my favorite places to visit with my mom! In the past I've visited this place for summer reading, but in these past few months, I've visited around two times a month. I mainly come here for manga books and I find that they have a great variety of comics for every type of manga and anime fan. I also check out young adult novels and they carry so many great titles that I've enjoyed! My mother also enjoys the comfy feeling of this library and checks out Spanish books that she enjoys as well. Over all I give this library 5 stars for it's wide selection of great titles and kind staff, I always look forward to each visit!"
"It's a great library for activities and events. Always doing something for teens or children. The children's section is lovely. Sadly, not all staff members are child welcoming. Having the temperature screen right at the doorway doesn't help, as something that is colorful and shows a shadow of a child - is definitely eye catching for a child. But surely, it doesn't light up or make huge sounds when a child is jumping up and down infront of the screen from my knowledge of these at work. Otherwise, move the screen to another area where it doesn't catch the eye of the child and no child gets a telling off just as they enter the library. Telling the child off isn't the role of the librarian, but the parent. But telling the parent to control her children isn't anyones duty. I understand the protocols of a library, but if you have a children's section - please understand that children should be catered for with kindness. As you enter, you need to walk through the library and walk past the main section to get to the children's section. I would suggest the other door to be opened as my children would disturb the other side of the library less and from my knowledge children's section should have their own door and own checkout to avoid all these issues that are arising in the first place. Checking out in the main section would also mean walking back to the main section which just doesn't help with children. Behaving in a negative form towards children doesn't help with the atmosphere nor the parent. Children do jump, run, and are active at times during the day. Some understanding would be beneficial, but sadly it isn't. I feel like all eyes are on my children. Thank to whom do make our experience at the library a nice one. Holding my child with one hand so they don't run and trying to get books out isn't the most comfortable form of visiting a library. It creates a hostile environment where I try to avoid any verbal contact with these people."
"I hate going to this library. The older women who work there treat me like I'm some misguided teenager and like somehow I'm always inconveniencing them if I need something. I'm in my 30s. I used to take my daughter every week and now I only go if I absolutely need to. Every time I go it's the same thing, which is a shame because their kids section is actually really nice."
"Great place for all kinds of book. The staff work really hard to provide a clean organized service. My girls spend an average of 5 hours a week in this library and have grown in independent readers at such young age."
