"This library used to be kids friendly when Ms. Sun was around, however, since her leaving, it has become the complete opposite. The new librarian, Gene, has made it unwelcoming and unfriendly to kids. She closed the kids play area in an effort to keep the children away. The library has become a toddler boot camp, how do you tell toddlers to sit and read in silence? This is what the new system there is enforcing. Babies and toddlers enjoyed the play area that Gene closed and she sits and watches movies on her computer. DO NOT take your children there, it is not welcoming."
"It’s BARELY open! The staff are EXTREMELY RUDE! They expect for GROWN ADULTS to carry around a library card! And they have a computer which they can look up library accounts on! And, they will SCREAM at you from then on that you need a library card, even if you’re just going to the bathroom! I interned there one summer, and, the library got EVEN WORSE! One of the staff members sneezed, so, I did the NICE thing and said gesundheit, and they LAUGHED! When the staff there feels that a book isn’t checked out enough, they DESTROY the book! The books were in GOOD CONDITION and could have been donated! When I took some of the books, the staff made snide remarks and laughed! Don’t go to the New Milford Library! The staff members are nothing more than BULLIES!"
"Great area for children to play. Some libraries only provide toys during programs. These items are available whenever the library is open. There are legos, magnetic letters and numbers, magnatiles, stuffed animals, an activity cube and more... plenty to keep little ones occupied. The librarian is friendly and kind. We really enjoyed our time here!"
"Best place for babies, toddlers ,kids and adults too. Lots of books DVDs . Different types of programs for babies toddlers and kids story time, movies time. You just need library card for all that. Love this place."
"Very friendly staff. A great, quiet place to study, plenty of outlets where you can plug in your laptop or charge your cellphone. They only ask of you to take phone calls outside the building. You have to be at least 21 to use computers in the young adult section, those under 21 must use the computer in the children's room. You can print things for 10 cents and 25 cents each page in color. Also love the cheap book sales (:"
