"There is an active Filipino community in this church. I came from a Catholic church in Passaic County with an active Filipino community, and I was looking for the same or somewhat similar when I moved to Bergen County (Paramus) on September 16, 2023. When I was in Passaic County, I used to serve as organist and lector from the church I came from. I think I found my place in Our Lady Queen of Peace RC Church. But I am not going to jump in to serve in this church unless there's a "GO" signal from my specialists. I have RA with Sjogren's. I told my current pastor about going more to Our Lady Queen of Peace instead of traveling to Passaic County, and he seemed unhappy about it. Hey, it's my gas and car I'm using; not his. He should be understandable. It's better to drive 8 minutes to church, especially on "bad weather days," than to travel 18 minutes. Besides, I don't go to church because of the priest! Some people go to church because they like the priest there. I am not part of these "some" people. I go to church because of the vibes and acceptance I felt when I first visited the church."
"Very welcoming. I enjoy attending mass here when I cannot be at my own parish."
"There is a place for those that don't give 5 stars to a church. Went for a funeral. Other than the occasion, nothing to complain about."
"I remember sunday school here and how they literally punished me for referring a priest as a "the fat priest " as a 1st grader I didn't know any other words and a learning disability..so much for healing the disabled! I believe in God and the Bible. However their turn away from both is detestable. 10 commandments the 4th command is to keep Sabbath Day 7th day of week. Dictionary says Saturday definition is 7thdayuDh!! That's not even the tip of the iceberg. Pathetic deceivers Mathew7:21-23"
"We love our church. It's so peaceful the moment you enter into the churc."
