Welcome to the WAYNE DPW Complex, your central hub for local government services in Wayne Township, New Jersey. Conveniently located at 201 Dey Road, Wayne, NJ 07470, our complex is dedicated to serving the community with a range of essential services and programs.

The Wayne Township Water Department ensures the highest quality of water services and will commence its annual systematic flushing of the Township’s water system at 11:00 PM on September 8, 2024. This essential maintenance is part of our commitment to providing safe and reliable water to all residents.

Our Department of Parks and Recreation, established in 1966, offers a wealth of recreational opportunities and historical preservation initiatives. The department comprises three key areas: the Historical Commission, Division of Parks & Forestry, and Division of Recreation.

The Historical Commission is devoted to uncovering and preserving the rich history of our community. Working closely with township officials, the commission safeguards records, archives, historic buildings, monuments, and markers, ensuring that our heritage is cherished for future generations.

The Division of Parks & Forestry is responsible for maintaining 1,859.45 acres of parkland that includes aquatic facilities, museums, and 23 community parks. Our facilities feature a variety of recreational amenities, from tennis courts and baseball fields to soccer and multi-purpose turf fields. The division also manages the care of over 10,000 street and park trees, 53 school paths, and numerous roadside and community sites.

The Division of Recreation provides a diverse array of year-round activities for all residents. Enjoy team sports, instructional programs, special events, and community programs tailored for both youth and adults. For convenience, pool and lake memberships, as well as tennis badges, are available. We also offer transportation services for the elderly and disabled and manage field and facility reservations.
