"If you like books, this is NOT the library for you. "New" F and NF books are hit & miss; frankly, I've become convinced they are purchasing publisher's remainders. While the PRPL studiously prints out the weekly NYT bestseller list, rarely does it appear they had the foresight to actually acquire any of the titles. The once extensive selection of old F and old NF fiction has been purged - by at least 35% or more, and it appears to be unfinished. At this point, the entire adult book selection could fit into a three car garage. Ironic to note that they deemed it important to install self serve check outs, while simultaneously reducing material to check out by at least 35%. I now use the PRPL primarily to pick up books reserved and forwarded to PRPL from member libraries. What I value in a library is no longer on offer at the PRPL; their priorities are elsewhere."
"Good libary. This libary has alout of good books and the kid section is excellant and the computers are so good. staff their are alittle mean because when I was going on the computer it would'nt work so some staff helped me and then they started making fun of me and that was'nt very nice but thats the only thing I don't like about the libary. The rest is pretty good. Excellant libary,Excellant books"
"Great library, but sometimes it is hard to find a good quit place. Also some of the staff can be dodgy, once I heard this one lady say the F word in the children’s section. Also there is this one older guy who is very strict about the rules, and unlike all of the other librarians, he makes me a 12 year old kid go to the children’s computers were I can’t even fit into one of those tiny chairs. But don’t get me wrong Pearl River would not be the same without the library."
