Welcome to St. Andrew's Mar Thoma Church
Located at 58 Crescent Place, Yonkers, New York, St. Andrew's Mar Thoma Church is a vibrant and welcoming place of worship that has been serving the community since the 1960s. Our parish was established during a time of significant migration to the United States, as people from around the world sought higher education and better living conditions.
At St. Andrew's, we are guided by the peace of Christ in all that we do. We believe that this peace should guide our decisions and unite us as one body. Our mission is to let Christ's message, in all its richness, live in our hearts and to share that wisdom with one another. We come together to sing psalms, hymns, and sacred songs, offering our praises with thanksgiving in our hearts.
Whether you are a long-time resident or new to the area, we invite you to join us in worship and fellowship. At St. Andrew's Mar Thoma Church, everything we do is in the name of the Lord Jesus, as we give thanks through Him to God the Father.
Come and be a part of our community, where faith, gratitude, and love are at the heart of everything we do.

"church is fire I love achen"
"a reformed Eastern Orthodox church.. Methodist in outlook... alternate Sunday services in English and Malayalam"
"Not aimed at this church specifically, but i guess, this post is aimed at a majority of Malayalee churches in the US. It's a good place, I guess, as long as you fit in with the cliques. There's no space to question, to challenge, to grow, etc. A lot of the "faith" gets mixed with cultural values/how the older generations were brought up. There was a time I needed people and this church was not there but maybe the fault lies with me because I expected too much. However, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who felt this way. If you're looking for a place where people congregate so they can pretend they're part of a community, then this is it. Please keep in mind that this is written not by someone who hates the Malayalee community and is all pro-Western culture. I love parts of the culture and the humor and especially the arts and I will try my best to keep that alive for the next generation. You should want to be with a group of people who want to see you grow, not just because they speak the same language or dress the same as you."
