"The Lenape Indian fish weirs were first reported by Skinner and Schrabisch in a 1913 report. They were later studied by Allen Lutins in the 1990s, and restoration and preservation championed by Anthony DeCondo. This is the most obvious and best surviving though as many as 11 were reported in 1913. Anthony DeCondo identified 6 of the weirs located as follows: Weir 1: Fair Lawn/Paterson fish weir, Fair Lawn, NJ 40° 56' 10" N 74° 08' 25" W / 40.936111N 74.140278W Weir 2: Adjacent to the Memorial School, Fair Lawn, NJ 40° 55' 46" N 74° 08' 32" W / 40.929444N 74.142222W Weir 3: Adjacent to Columbus Ave/River Road, Garfield, NJ 40° 52' 51" N 74° 07' 14" W / 40.880833N 74.120556W Weir 4: Behind the King of Shishkabob, Woodland Park NJ Junction of McBride Avenue and Browertown Rd., NJ 40° 53' 38" N 74° 12' 10" W / 40.893889N 74.202778W Weir 5: Behind the BarBQ restaurant, Garfield, NJ 40° 52' 30" N 74° 06" 57' W / 40.875N 74.115833W Weir 6: Foot of the Dundee Dam, Garfield, NJ 40° 52' 57" N 74° 07' 28" W / 40.8825N 74.124444W"
