"Travelers take note: construction work in/around Journal Square Plaza requires busy pedestrians to remain aware of ever changing traffic flow directives. When crossing JFK, Bergen, Sip, or Magnolia don’t assume drivers see you whether you have the light or not. It’s an inconvenient, often aggravating essential transportation hub (PATH trains to WTC & up to 33rd St Manhattan are frequently behind schedule) and adaptability and keeping up with NJ Transit rider updates, travel alerts, modified schedules, etc is the difference between an annoying commute (reaching destination at acceptable time) versus confused, wild sprinting through train/bus platforms, missed connections, and slipping on stairs freshly “watered” by transits’ urinating in semiprivate spots around the plaza. Said a lot here and I’m still not covering late night /weekend platform changes and what time does late night begin…bus platform worries for the waiting continue."
"They need to do a better job on keeping this place clean. I've noticed that there's barely garbage cans for people to use, that can help with the littering issues. Bathrooms are never clean, people loiter too much."
"I think that the 80S bus should come almost every time if it can, because my bus stop is Grove St and almost some of my friends live near Sip Ave. It would be better to just take the bus down Sip Avenue than just walking from Journal Square to the block itself. It will take a little bit longer. But otherwise, the commute is very good. This is just a suggestion."
"Very clean and tidy place. Its a 24x7 train service to NYC. Usually the trains are on time except when it snows or rains (the ancient machinery don't seem to like these weather conditions)."
"Here you can find a number of buses departing to Hackensack, Secaucus, and North Bergen to name a few. The terminal is OK but could definitely improve (better bathroom, bus arrival time screen, etc.). This terminal is also connected to the PATH Journal Square station."
