"The only positive to this station is that it’s one stop into Secaucus and two stops to Hoboken. Easy access to NYC. Otherwise this station is very run down and old. Long staircase going is very dangerous especially in the winter time with the ice. The platforms are very low and you have to do a split to get onto the train."
"This station is just a giant hole in the ground and you are required to climb up high when the train arrives. If you are disabled or old and don't have the strength to do so don't use this station."
"This station is close to North Arlington and has a quick connection to New York Penn Station in about 20-25 minutes. However, it lacks wheelchair access, shelter and ample parking space. You can take the NJ transit bus number 76 from Hackensack or Kearny/ North Arlington to get to this station. If you want to drive and park your car, you might want to consider Lyndhurst station, which is only 2-3 minutes away by car and has a free parking lot where many commuters park. Note :-If you are hungry, you can also visit the Lyndhurst Pastry shop nearby and enjoy some cake and snacks."
"Kingsland Station along the Main Line is one of the older stations on the line. As such, it is a fairly ordinary station with just a couple of benches on each side for passengers to sit on while waiting. It has a TVM that can occasionally become rather difficult. The biggest drawbacks to this station are that it is set some 40 feet below street level, and there are no escalators or elevators to take you down or up. Just 40+ steps. Add to that, on the Eastbound (Hoboken) side, the grading is so low, one sometimes needs to be a mountain climber to alight the train. It would be nice if NJ Transit would work on this station instead of the other one across town, to make it more convenient for passengers to use. If, before going down to the tracks to catch your train you want a little something to nosh, I recommend going next door and grabbing a coffee and pastry or donut at the Lyndhurst Pastry Shop; it's well worth it. (As well as less expensive by far than Secaucus Junction)"
"Kingsland Station is one of two train stations in Lyndhurst. The other station is located on Stuyvesant Ave. This station lacks a waiting room and is not wheelchair accessible. Aside from the overhang of the station house and Ridge Road, there isn't much protection from the weather. There is a small parking lot at the station.. Service is provided by New Jersey Transit's Main Line and Port Jervis Line. Passengers will have to transfer at Secaucus Junction for trains to NYC or continue to Hoboken for PATH or NY Waterway Service. Kingsland Station's location on Ridge Road does provide convenient access to the 76 bus to Newark Penn/Hackensack..The NB stop is located at Ridge Rd and Milton Ave, while the SB stop is located at Ridge Rd and Freeman St."
